Last week we had a Block Party on our street. It was a whole block effort. Ann organized the event, which was a huge blessing and she did a great job. Jasmine did a spoken word piece, and Robert had his dance team “bust a move” for us. Michael was our DJ (and he knows how to mix the music) and we had Ms Zulu told some Arican stories to the kids. Other people brought food. The above picture is of Bobby who made fried green tomatoes. I picked the tomatoes from our community garden, Bobby cooked them up, and then we ate them as a community. What a cool picture of a nieghborhood comming together.
